The co-stars reveal how trust and quick thinking saved Lopez from a dangerous situation on the set of ‘Shotgun Wedding’
When it comes to performing stunts in a movie, actors need to trust their co-stars and stunt coordinators to make sure they are safe. However, in the case of Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel, it was not just trust but teamwork that saved the day while filming their new movie “Shotgun Wedding”.
In a recent interview, Lopez and Duhamel were asked who was most likely to nail a stunt on the first take. While the cast members had different opinions, Lopez had a memorable story to share. She revealed that during filming, there was a scene where her dress got caught on a wheel and she was pulled towards a cliff. As she was holding on for dear life, Lopez turned to Duhamel and cried out, “Josh! Don’t let me go! Please!”
Duhamel didn’t waste any time, he grabbed her hand and shouted, “I got you! You go, we go!” Thanks to Duhamel’s quick thinking and Lopez’s trust in him, the two were able to make it through the scene safely and deliver an unforgettable performance.
The film, which also stars Jennifer Coolidge, Cheech Marin, Callie Hernandez, D’Arcy Carden, and Steve Coulter, follows a couple who are getting cold feet about their destination wedding, just as their entire celebration is taken, hostage. The movie is directed by “Pitch Perfect” and produced by “The Proposal” which was released on Prime video on Friday.
As exciting as it is to see actors push themselves to their limits on the big screen, it’s also reassuring to know that they have each other’s backs when things get a little too intense. In this case, Duhamel’s quick thinking and Lopez’s trust in him made all the difference, and it’s clear that the two have a strong bond both on and off the screen.
