Chargers Re-Sign Morgan Fox to Two-Year Deal.

The Los Angeles Chargers have announced that defensive tackle Morgan Fox has signed a new two-year deal to remain with the team. Fox’s agent, David Canter, confirmed the news, while NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported the length of the deal.

Fox played in all 17 games during the 2022 season, starting 12 of them. He set career-highs in tackles (38) and sacks (6.5) and matched his previous career-high in tackles for loss (eight). With Fox’s return, the Chargers may have their starting three interior linemen in base packages, as Sebastian Joseph-Day and Austin Johnson are both under contract through 2023.

It’s not yet known how much Fox will be earning under the new deal, so it’s unclear how this will impact the team’s ability to sign other free agents. Nonetheless, the Chargers are celebrating the return of a fan favorite to their defense.
