Someone won the $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday, and the ticket was sold in New Jersey’s Monmouth County.
The winner has not yet come forward, but officials announced that ShopRite Liquor in Neptune Township sold the winning ticket.
The winning numbers were 7, 11, 22, 29, 38, and the gold Mega Ball 4. State lottery officials have scheduled a news conference for noon Wednesday at the retailer’s location on Route 66.
ShopRite will receive a $30,000 bonus check. It’s worth noting that just because the ticket was sold in New Jersey doesn’t necessarily mean the winner lives there.
