Get the latest on Nick Chubb’s knee surgery recovery. Browns’ running back on the path to return in the 2024 season after successful surgery.
In a recent statement, the Cleveland Browns shared an update on running back Nick Chubb‘s surgery to repair ligament damage sustained during the September 18th game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The surgery, performed by team head physician James Voos, MD, at the University Hospitals Drusisky Sports Medicine Institute, was deemed successful.
The surgery addressed damage to Chubb’s medial capsule, meniscus, and medial collateral ligament. However, it is expected that a second surgery will be scheduled to repair his anterior cruciate ligament in the coming months.
The estimated recovery timeline suggests that Nick Chubb may be able to return to play at some point during the 2024 season. Despite his season-ending injury, the Browns have shown unwavering support for Chubb. Head Coach Kevin Stefanski honored him with a game ball following a recent victory, and personal gestures of support from teammates, like DE Myles Garrett and RB Kareem Hunt, have demonstrated the team’s solidarity during Chubb’s recovery journey.
