Brock Purdy, once rated lower than a wealth manager and a tractor company employee, is now a star quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers.

Despite being overlooked in high school, Purdy’s journey has been one of perseverance and seizing opportunities.

Purdy wasn’t heavily recruited and ended up at Iowa State, a modest program in the Big 12 Conference.

In 2018, Purdy was ranked the 39th best pocket passer by ESPN, with only three quarterbacks ranked above him making it to the NFL in 2023.

Many of the quarterbacks from Purdy’s high school class have pursued careers outside football, finding success in various fields.

Turned down Alabama for Princeton and is now a wealth manager.
