He defeated Jannik Sinner by 2 sets in the quarterfinals.

Novak Djokovic is returning from two sets for the third time in Wimbledon history as he faced a tough challenge from 10th seed and 20-year-old Italian Jannik Sinner.

Djokovic has now won 10 5-setters from 11 attempts at Wimbledon and his only loss was against Mario Ansic in 2006.

Djokovic won his 26th straight match at Wimbledon as he made the semi-finals and fulfilled his dream of winning a fourth consecutive title at the grass-court Grand Slam.

It was Djokovic's 11th semifinal ticket at Wimbledon and 43rd at a Grand Slam.

Djokovic defeated Sinner 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2. In a match that stretched to 3 hours 35 minutes.

Djokovic looked utterly frustrated in the first two sets and his forehand was failing him, but the Serb was fired after a "little talk in the mirror" during the toilet break.

Djokovic made only 3 unforced errors in the third set as he improved significantly from the first two sets, where nothing happened.

In fact, Djokovic led to a thunderous applause for Sinner as the Italian youngster made his way from center court after a memorable campaign...... which he defeated Stanislas Wawrinka in the first round and defeated 5th seed Carlos Alcaraz in the round of 16.

Djokovic will face the winner of the second quarter-final between Britain's number one Cameron Norie and senior Spanish campaigner David Goffin.
