On Saturday, Leandro Trossard became only the third player in English Premier League (EPL) history to score a hat trick against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Belgian forward's hat-trick earned Brighton a point in an exciting 3-3 draw with EPL title-chasing Liverpool.

Other players who have accomplished this feat include Peter Ndlovu and Andrey Arshavin.

Ndlovu, a Coventry City player, scored the first ever hattrick against Livepool at their home stadium in the 1994/95 season.

Coventry City won the game in a season in which Blackburn Rovers won its only League title.

In the 2008/09 season, Arshavin scored four goals, including one in stoppage time, to help Arsenal earn a 4-4 draw against Liverpool.

Trossard has scored 23 league goals and assisted 12 times in four seasons with Brighton, which he joined in 2019.

After the game, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi remarked, "Trossard is a (crack) star." I sent him a message earlier when he was a member of the national squad that he needed to score more goals.

Robert said, "I think Trossard can perform much better than he is now. I don't say this because I don't like his performance today, I think he's a terrific player.
