Trevor Bauer used MLB’s recent reinstatement of Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson to criticize the league’s treatment of him.

Bauer questioned whether MLB's policy changes on banned players would apply to others who have been excluded.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that lifetime bans would now expire upon a person’s death.

The new policy change affected 17 individuals, including members of the 1919 Chicago Black Sox scandal.

Rose and Jackson, though reinstated posthumously, are not eligible for Hall of Fame induction until at least 2028 under current rules.

Pete Rose accepted a lifetime ban in 1989 after evidence showed he bet on games involving his own team.

Despite several petitions, Rose has repeatedly been denied reinstatement by MLB leadership.

Trevor Bauer has not played in the MLB since 2021 due to sexual assault allegations that led to a lengthy suspension.

Bauer was never criminally charged, but MLB suspended him for 324 games, later reduced to 194 after an appeal.

Since becoming eligible to return in 2023, Bauer has remained unsigned by any MLB team and has continued his career overseas.
