Incident Date: July 13, 2024 - Terrell Davis and his family were on a United Airlines flight from Denver to Santa Ana, Calif.

Davis's son requested a cup of ice, but the flight attendant either didn’t hear or ignored the request.

Davis lightly tapped the attendant’s arm to get his attention, prompting the attendant to shout, “Don’t hit me,” and rush to the front of the plane.

Upon landing, six FBI and law enforcement agents boarded the plane, handcuffing and removing Davis.

Davis received an email stating he was banned from United Airlines pending a review by their Passenger Incident Review Committee.

United claimed the ban was rescinded the day after the incident, and Davis’s team was informed.

Davis shared on Instagram, “This company wrongfully accused me, had me handcuffed, and failed to show genuine empathy for my family's experience.”

Davis’s legal team claimed United was covering up their behavior and had not informed them of the ban being lifted.

Davis stated, “My family will never unsee me in handcuffs for simply asking for a cup of ice,” highlighting the lasting emotional impact on his family.
