Team USA Shockingly Ousted by Germany in FIBA Semifinals

Team USA's shocking 113-111 loss to Germany ends their FIBA Basketball World Cup journey in the semifinals.

Despite being the favorites, the US suffered a major upset in the Philippines after a disappointing performance.

The semifinal started evenly, with both teams closely contesting the game, and the US held a narrow 60-59 lead at halftime.

A turning point occurred in the third quarter as Germany capitalized on an opportunity, outscoring the US 35-24.

Germany secured a crucial 10-point lead going into the final quarter, and despite a late rally by Team USA, they held on for the win.

Anthony Edwards and Austin Reaves led the US comeback attempt, but it fell short in the end.

This marks the second consecutive World Cup where the US has failed to reach the championship game, disappointing the team and fans.

The game's globalization has led to increased competition, according to US head coach Steve Kerr, making victories harder to come by.

Germany's NBA-studded team, featuring Dennis Schröder, Franz Wagner, and Daniel Theis, played pivotal roles in their World Cup success.

Germany will face Serbia in the World Cup final, while the US will compete in a third-place playoff against Canada on Sunday.
