The Pittsburgh Steelers hold a 10-4 record and lead the AFC North in their 2024 campaign, despite a recent loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Quarterback Russell Wilson has provided consistent and efficient play since returning as the starter in Week 7.

Justin Fields demonstrated potential during the first six weeks of the season, leading the Steelers to a 4-2 record while Russell Wilson recovered from injury.

Fields showcased his abilities with 10 touchdowns and only two turnovers in six games, which may lead to opportunities in free agency.

Many predict Justin Fields will sign with a quarterback-needy team in 2025, potentially earning a starting role.

Speculations suggest Fields could replace Brock Purdy on the San Francisco 49ers due to Purdy's inability to elevate the offense in critical moments.

Critics argue that Purdy struggles under pressure, often leading to turnovers, and lacks the dynamic playmaking ability of Fields.

However, switching to Fields would likely be a downgrade for the 49ers due to his inconsistent accuracy and poor fit in Kyle Shanahan's offensive system.

Fields is better suited for a team that can provide a fresh start, while the 49ers should continue to develop Brock Purdy as their franchise quarterback.
