In an Instagram post on Friday, the Grammy-nominated singer, 23, announced that the next three weeks of his concert dates have been postponed "until further notice."

In a statement shared on both Instagram and Twitter Friday night, the Canadian singer told fans that he had hit a breaking point and need some mental healing.

The singer stated that he decided to postpone after consulting with medical professionals and his team.

Mendes penned the piece. "I've been touring since I was 15 years old, and to be honest, being on the road away from friends and family has always been difficult for me."

Mendes' "Wonder" tour began last month. He was set to perform in St. Paul, Minneapolis, on Saturday, with more shows planned through October.

According to his website, Mendes' next show after a three-week hiatus will be in Toronto on July 31.

The North American leg of the tour  scheduled to continue through October 26 .
