The Sandman is a fantasy drama television series produced in the United States.

It  is based on Neil Gaiman's 1989-1996 comic book, which was published by DC Comics.

Gaiman, David S. Goyer, and Allan Heinberg created the series for the streaming service Netflix.

DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television are responsible for the show's production.

The Sandman, like the comic, tells the story of Dream, the titular Sandman.

It stars Gwendoline Christie, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Asim Chaudhry, and Sanjeev Bhaskar in supporting roles, as well as Tom Sturridge as Dream.

The Sandman premiered on August 5, 2022.

The series earned mostly positive reviews from critics.

Based on 54 critic reviews, the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes recorded an approval rating of 84% and an average rating of 7.6/10.
