Rapper Kodak Black was arrested after authorities allegedly uncovered a trove of oxycodone pills in his car during a traffic stop in Florida.

He’d been driving in a Dodge Durango with expired tags and license plates, which also allegedly sported windows with an illegal tint.

The 25-year-old “Super Gremlin” rapper, whose name is Bill Kapri, was pulled over in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, July 15, 2022, around 4:30 p.m. 

When Black rolled down the window of his SUV, authorities said they immediately smelled marijuana, triggering a search of the vehicle. 

In 2019, the Atlantic Records recording artist was handed three years in federal prison for falsifying documents 

he used to buy weapons at a Miami gun store. 

He served half of the sentence before it was commuted by former President Donald Trump on one of his final days in office.  

Black was originally charged with rape, but instead accepted a deal and pleaded guilty to first-degree assault.
