Rachin Ravindra's name is a unique blend of his father's admiration for Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.

Born to Indian parents in Wellington, Rachin made his Test debut for New Zealand in India.

Rachin's father named him "Rachin" by combining "Ra" from Rahul and "chin" from Sachin.

Rachin went from being a fanboy during the 2019 World Cup to playing for New Zealand in the 2023 World Cup.

Rachin's cricket tours in India with his father played a crucial role in his development as a cricketer.

Despite being just 19 years old, Rachin batted at number 3 for New Zealand in the 2023 World Cup opener against England and hitted century.
