The winning Powerball ticket worth $842 million was purchased at Food Castle in Grand Blanc Township.

This jackpot marks Michigan's second-largest Powerball win, with a cash value of $425.2 million.

The winner's identity remains undisclosed until they reach out to the Lottery.

The previous Michigan Powerball winner, from Waterford, secured a $70 million jackpot in 2020.

Bill Nannoshi, Food Castle's owner, expressed pride in Grand Blanc and excitement for the community's positive news.

The jackpot recipient must claim the prize online and visit the Lottery Headquarters in Lansing.

Food Castle's regulars, like salesclerk Susie, are optimistic and hope the winner is a local who uses the money wisely.

Grand Blanc resident Juan, while not the winner, appreciates a local victory, breaking the perception that only other states produce winners.
