According to Honolulu police, a woman's body was discovered on the H-2 freeway in relation to a tragic hit-and-run accident that occurred early on Saturday.
She was walking beside the H-2 Freeway when she crossed into traffic and was hit by an unknown car.
Her identity is yet to be recognise.
The mystery driver fled, and the female pedestrian died at the spot.
According to authorities, the unknown driver was possibly driving a dark-colored late-model Honda sedan.

It is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role.
The H-2 Freeway Southbound and Ka Uka Boulevard offramps were closed for investigation by HPD, but they have now reopened.
This is the 27th road fatality on Oahu this year, compared to 28 last year at this time.
