Mac Jones, the quarterback for the New England Patriots, has been officially penalised by the NFL for his two dubious plays against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.

Jones was fined $13,367 for a low block hitting on Bengals cornerback Eli Apple.

Jones also needs to pay an additional $10,609 punishment for his unsportsmanlike behaviour following Rhamondre Stevenson's fumble, during which he engaged in a struggle for the ball at the base of the pile.

Mac Jones has earned the reputation of a "dirty" player for hitting Eli Apple.

Jones was not shocked as he has the track record of dubious plays.

Jones has already addressed the claims that he is a dishonest player by highlighting the fact that his team is his priority and he doesn't care what other people think.

The Patriots selected Jones In the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

On July 6, 2021, Jones agreed to a four-year rookie deal with a $15.6 million fully guaranteed salary.
