Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles has issued a direct challenge to Tyreek Hill, expressing his readiness to race the NFL star.
The challenge arose after Miami Dolphins' Tyreek Hill claimed he could beat Lyles in a sprint, following Lyles' comments about Super Bowl winners not being "world champions."
Hill suggested that Lyles should stick to discussing track, confidently stating he would defeat Lyles in a race.
In response, Lyles told Shannon Sharpe on "Nightcap" that he's willing to race Hill if he's serious and not just making empty claims online.
Lyles, fresh from the Paris Olympics, recently won a gold medal in the 100m dash, finishing with a personal best time of 9.784 seconds.
Despite testing positive for COVID-19 before the event, Lyles also secured a bronze medal in the 200m dash.
Tyreek Hill, known as one of the fastest players in the NFL, has a track background and clocked a wind-assisted 9.98 seconds in the 100m dash in 2013.
Lyles hinted that Hill might be more talk than action, challenging him to meet on the track if he's truly serious.
