Stephen A. Smith made a couple glaring errors on ESPN's First Take earlier this week when discussing the Philadelphia Eagles.

For starters, Smith mentioned Jalen Reagor as an offensive weapon for the Eagles.

Smith stated the TCU product had "something to prove" this season.

Reagor will be unable to assist the Eagles this season because he was recently moved to the Minnesota Vikings.

The second blunder Smith made was suggesting that Philadelphia would have "some challenges" at safety this fall.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson was acquired from the New Orleans Saints to solve that deficiency.

NFL fans criticised Smith on Twitter after he made these errors on air.

Smith's engaging demeanour and entertaining tirades make him a strong asset for ESPN.

However, this is not the first time he has erred in speaking about football in this manner.
