Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins is attempting to become the first quarterback to win his first four starts against Bill Belichick's Patriots.

Midway through the second quarter, Tagovailoa received some assistance from his defence.

The Patriots faced a second-and-10 from their own 15-yard line when safety Brandon Jones darted in untouched from the left side and stripped quarterback Mac Jones.

The ball bounced right up to edge rusher Melvin Ingram, who ran it in for 2 yards for the game's first touchdown.

It was Miami's second takeaway of the game, following an interception that ended New England's first drive.

The Dolphins took advantage of the turnover and scored a field goal to take a 3-0 lead.

Miami Dolphins right tackle Austin Jackson was shaken up early in the second quarter.

Greg Little was brought in to replace Austin at right tackle.

Midway through the second quarter, James Ferentz replaced Cole Strange at left guard for the Patriots.
