The Dallas Cowboys' 2022 season got off to a terrible start in Week 1.
The club lost its debut game against the Buccaneers 19-3 on Sunday, and they also experienced a number of injury problems.
Four players have already been ruled out by the Cowboys for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals: Connor McGovern (quad), Jayron Kearse (knee), Tarell Basham (thumb), and Dak Prescott (thumb) (ankle).
During his team's season-opening defeat, Prescott sustained a thumb injury on his right hand.
Prescott's return was originally expected to take 6 to 8 weeks, but an update following his surgery revealed a more enticing schedule.
Since the Cowboys have not placed their quarterback on injured reserve, a comeback during the following four weeks is possible.
Kearse sprained his MCL and will be out for two to four weeks.
McGovern will also be sidelined for a few weeks due to a high-ankle injury.
The Cowboys are still awaiting a timeline for Basham's thigh bruise.
