The Pittsburgh Steelers opened their season with a 23-20 victory over Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night.

However, it came at a high price, with reigning Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt suffering a torn pectoral muscle.

Watt exited the game after a botched sack attempt on Burrow, and the Steelers star appeared to be in a lot of pain.

The silver lining is that, contrary to initial reports, Watt may not have torn his pec during the play.

Nonetheless, the three-time All-Pro linebacker is expected to miss significant time.

Watt and the Steelers are getting a mixed bag in this report.

Pittsburgh will now be without their star OLB for at least the next four weeks, and possibly longer

However, if additional reports show that Watt's injury isn't as severe as first thought, he should be back in the lineup sooner rather than later.

T.J. unfortunately faces the worst-case scenario. Watt's problem here is that if he has surgery, he will almost certainly be forced to miss the entire season.
