The Pittsburgh Steelers will wear a "3" decal on their helmets in memory of the late Dwayne Haskins throughout the 2022 season.

Haskins was killed at the age of 24 when a truck struck him as he tried to cross the street at 6:37 in the morning.

The accident occured in Florida's Broward County on April 9, 2022.

Haskins spend the previous two seasons with the now-Washington Commanders.

After re-signing with Pittsburgh earlier that year, Haskin was working out with Steelers teammates.

Following a 50-touchdown season with the Buckeyes, Haskins was drafted in the first round by Washington in 2019.

Haskins went on to start 13 games in his first two seasons with Washington before being released and signing with the Steelers in 2021.

Friends and family of Haskins remember him as a caring member of the community who solely wanted to serve others around him, rather than as a football player.

Ohio State pays tribute to Haskins at halftime of their spring football game as well.
