After a humiliating home loss to the nation's top-ranked team, South Carolina's coach was irritated by a press conference question.
After top-ranked Georgia defeated unranked South Carolina 48-7 in Columbia on Saturday, Gamecocks coach Shane Beamer was asked if there was any "give up" in the locker room.
"Hell no," Beamer retorted.
"What kind of question, Phil?" We're 1-2, and there are a lot of fighters in that room. And 'give up' is not an option in this football programme. "Get out of here, man," Beamer said again.
The Gamecocks had a rough afternoon against the nation's top team.
South Carolina's defence gave up 547 yards and allowed Georgia to convert five of nine third-down attempts.
On offence, the Gamecocks turned the ball over three times, including two interceptions by Spencer Rattler.
South Carolina is clearly not on the same level as Georgia's national championship programme in Beamer's second year.
But, in order to advance in the SEC East, the Gamecocks will need to compete with the Bulldogs.
