Just as we were starting to think that Deshaun Watson's off-field issues had been permanently fixed, a new claim has come to light.
Watson is the subject of a fresh civil sexual misconduct lawsuit stemming from an incident that happened in 2020 during a massage.
After agreeing to a punishment with the NFL for earlier nearly identical claims, Watson is presently serving an 11-game suspension.
In response to the accusations against Watson, the NFL has since released a statement.
The league will keep an eye on events for any behaviour that would call for further investigation.
Deshaun Watson did not play the entire 2021 NFL season because of issues with the Houston Texans and the twenty civil cases brought against him.
Watson spent his final five years with the Texans until being dealt to the Browns in March.
Watson escaped criminal prosecution after a grand jury decided not to indict him, but he still had to reach out-of-court settlements in a number of civil cases.
If nothing unexpected happens, Watson should be back with the squad and playing football in a little over a month.
