Former Nebraska football head coach Scott Frost was fired just three games into the 2022 season, making him the first FBS coach to be fired this year.

Frost was fired by the Cornhuskers after four losing seasons and a disappointing start to the season this year.

The move sparked rumours and speculation about who will be pacing the sidelines for Nebraska football next.

The best job reference ever was given to this potential Scott Frost replacement by former Coastal Carolina football coach Joe Moglia.

Former Coastal Carolina football head coach Joe Moglia offered current Chanticleers boss Jamey Chadwell a resounding thumbs-up for the head coaching position at Nebraska.

Someone involved in the Cornhuskers' hiring process "contacted" Moglia, according to him, "a couple weeks ago."

Moglia went on to say that while he would not want to lose Chadwell, who is in his fifth year as head coach at Coastal Carolina, he would "absolutely get the job done at Nebraska."

Chadwell has certainly risen to prominence in the last two years, leading the Chanticleers to 11-win seasons in a row.

And that's exactly what Nebraska football needs after Frost's failed tenure.
