Former NFL tight end Kevin Ware Jr. was charged with killing his girlfriend Taylor Pomaski, 29
Ware killed her in a horrific manner and then destroying evidence by reportedly setting her body on fire.
Ware was charged with killing Pomaski in July.
Ware, who left Washington undrafted in 2003 and played two NFL seasons with both Washington's NFL team and the San Francisco 49ers.
On April 25, 2021, Pomaski vanished after a party at the couple's house.
She was unaccounted for for seven months before her skeletal remains were found in December of last year.
Pomaski was stabbed, strangled, and beaten, her body burned and dumped it in a ditch in Harris County, Texas.
Medical examiner records show that the major cause of death has not yet been identified.
Ware will likely make an appearance in the 209th District Court the following week after being sent to Harris County Jail on Wednesday. Ware will be jailed on a $1 million bond.
