Kenny Pickett
was brought off the field for inspection.
In the third quarter,
Devin White
of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers struck Pickett while he was throwing. Pickett was struck in the head.
Pickett got to his feet on his own, but the referees sent the trainers to see whether he needed help.
Pickett was assessed by trainers on the field for a brief while before being brought to the medical t
ent. Then he was led to the changing area.
He must be assessed for a concussion due to the play in accordance with the most recent concussion guidelines adopted by the NFL.
Pickett was replaced by Mitch Trubisky for the Steelers. The offseason acquisition started the season's opening four games.
The Steelers selected Pickett in the opening round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Chicago Bears selected Trubisky with the second overall pick in the 2
017 NFL Draft.
