As the 2022 season approaches,
Wyatt Davis
has found a new team.
The lineman was signed by the New Orleans Saints off the practise squad of the New York Giants, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Three days ahead of their Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, he will be added to their active roster.
At Ohio State, where he served as captain, Davis was twice named to the first team of the All-Americans.
The grandson of Hall of Fame defensive end Willie Davis became the first guard from Ohio State to win the Rimington-Pace Award.
Knee ailments, however, forced him to drop to the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Last season, Davis saw relatively minimal action on special teams for the Minnesota Vikings.
Davis did not make Minnesota's 53-man roster after falling down the depth chart this summer.
He was added to the Giants' practise squad last week before making the team in New Orleans.
