Three touchdowns and 279 yards were thrown for by Justin Herbert.

Los Angeles defeated Las Vegas 24-19 thanks to Khalil Mack's three sacks in his Chargers debut.

The contest was a rematch of the season's final game from the previous year, which Las Vegas won on a field goal in the waning moments of overtime to eliminate the Chargers from the playoffs.

Despite Keenan Allen missing the game with a hamstring injury in the first half and Mike Williams not having a catch until the fourth quarter, Herbert completed 26 of 34 passes and had a passer rating of 129.4.

Despite being intercepted three times, Derek Carr completed 22 of 37 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns.

Davante Adams, a former teammate of Derek's at Fresno State who was acquired from Green Bay during the summer, was connected to 10 times by Derek.

With 141 receiving yards, including a 2-yard score in the fourth quarter, Adams had a strong day.

Midway through the third quarter, Gerald Everett caught a touchdown pass from the Raiders that was 18 yards away, dragging safety Roderic Teamer the final 3 yards into the end zone to make the score 24-10.

Everett had two catches, while Carter had three. While Everett had 54 yards, Carter had 64.
