Micah Parsons, a top defensive player for the Dallas Cowboys, has expressed interest in playing on the offensive side of the ball.
During a recent practice, head coach Mike McCarthy allowed Parsons to take a few snaps at running back.
Parsons has a long-term plan to secure offensive playing time, aiming to transition to offense later in his career.
He stated that by the time he turns 30, he might demand offensive snaps or consider retirement.
Parsons envisions himself playing positions like running back or tight end, referencing his ability to block and his versatility on the field.
He has prior experience as a running back, having played the position in high school, where he excelled with 1,239 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns in his senior year.
Although Parsons still has several years left before reaching 30, he believes he will have the stamina to contribute as a running back.
Parsons has previously lobbied for offensive reps, having taken scout-team snaps at tight end last October, and continues to push for more opportunities.
