Man City wins the title after Arsenal loses, keeping Forest safe

Nottingham Forest defeated Arsenal 1-0 on Saturday.

Arsenal's slim chances of winning the Premier League ended with this defeat.

Taiwo Awoniyi's goal gave Nottingham Forest the victory and ensured their place in the top division.

The game changed in the 19th minute when Arsenal's normally superb midfielder Martin Odegaard made a rare error, handing control to Morgan Gibbs-White.

Morgan Gibbs-White pushed forward before finding Awoniyi, who poked the ball home and sparked frenzied celebrations.

Arsenal dominated possession but couldn't convert it into points.

The superb Keylor Navas in goal for the hosts foiled Gabriel Jesus multiple chances.

Forest used the counter-attack to create a number of chances.

Arsenal is now second on 81 points with one game remaining, while Manchester City is third on 85 points with three games remaining, beginning at home against Chelsea on Sunday.
