Joao Felix: Rising Star in Barcelona and Atlético Madrid

Joao Felix Sequeira, a Portuguese forward, currently lights up La Liga with Barcelona, playing on loan from Atlético Madrid. 

Born in Viseu, Portugal, on November 10, 1999, Joao Felix started his football journey at Porto before transitioning to Benfica in 2015. 

At just 16,  Felix made his professional debut for Benfica's reserve team in 2016, earning a promotion to the first team in 2018 at the age of 17. 

 Felix's inaugural season with Benfica was spectacular, with 20 goals and 11 assists across 43 appearances, securing Primeira Liga and Taça de Portugal titles, and earning him the Golden Boy award in Europe. 

In 2019, Felix made a historic transfer to Atlético Madrid for a club-record fee of €126 million, making his debut against Getafe and scoring his first goal against Eibar. 

Despite facing challenges at Atlético Madrid, including injuries and adaptation, Felix's flashes of brilliance confirm his place among the world's most talented young talents. 

In 2023, Felix joined Barcelona on loan from Atlético Madrid, debuting against Osasuna and scoring his first goal in a dazzling display against Real Betis. 

A versatile attacker, Felix excels in various positions, known for his creativity, vision, and goal-scoring prowess from all areas of the pitch. 

At just 23 years old, Felix is poised to ascend the ranks of football greatness, with international caps for Portugal and a World Cup appearance in 2022 already under his belt.
