Iowa football defeats Kentucky 21-0 in the Music City Bowl to cap the season

The Iowa Hawkeyes finished their season on a high note by defeating the Kentucky Wildcats 21-0.

The Iowa Hawkeyes recording their second shutout victory of the year.

The Iowa defence dominated, scoring two touchdowns of their own, as they had in the previous games this season.

 Both interceptions, one by safety Xavier Nwankpa and the other by cornerback Cooper DeJean, were returned for scores.

DeJean was awarded the title of game MVP for his interception, seven tackles, one tackle for loss, and pass breakup.

Additionally, they reduced Kentucky to just two third-down conversions on 11 attempts, allowing only 185 total yards, and 2.1 yards per carry.

The Hawkeyes' offence, directed by Joey Labas, was strong. Labas completed 14 of his 24 ball attempts for 139 yards and a score in his first start of his career.

Tight ends led the way in terms of receiving yards, as Sam LaPorta and Luke Lachey combined for eight catches and 92 yards.
