Hall of Fame ex-Princeton Tigers coach Pete Carril dies at 92

Carril was born on July 10, 1930 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Following graduation from college in 1952, Carril served in the United States Army.

Peter Joseph Carril was an American basketball coach.

He is best known for his time as head coach of Princeton University for 30 years and his use of the "Princeton offense".

Princeton released a statement from Carril's family, saying he died 'peacefully'

During his 29 seasons as the Tigers' coach, his teams won 13 Ivy League titles.

The old-school coach was elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1997
