Jason Peters might be prepared for the spotlight.

When the Dallas Cowboys travel to the New York Giants for Monday Night Football in Week 3,

the former Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle might play for the Dallas team.

Jon Machota of The Athletic claims:

Jason Peters, an experienced OT with the Cowboys, will practice in protective gear this week.

It depends on how well they perform in practice this week if Peters and WR Michael Gallup will be able to play against the Giants on Monday night.

Peters joined the Cowboys before the start of the season, but he sat out of the team's 19-3 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Peters missed the victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 as well.

According to ESPN, Peters joined Dallas after the Cowboys were forced to play without eight-time Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith until at least December due to a torn hamstring that necessitated surgery.
