France defeated Morocco 2-0 on Wednesday to advance to the FIFA World Cup final.

The Moroccan football team created history by being the first African team to advance past the quarterfinals of a World Cup.

On Sunday, December 18, France will play Argentina in the championship match

At the last World Cup in 2018, France won for the second time ever.

Theo Hernandez scored just five minutes into the semi-finals match to give the French team a solid lead.

Despite a shaky start and numerous issues with injured players, the Moroccan team remained unfazed and challenged France throughout the entire match.

Morocco had a higher percentage of possession (62%) than France (38%).

France sealed the victory in Qatar's Al Bayt Stadium with a second goal eleven minutes from time.

Randal Kolo Muani, who had been substituted, scored with a shot to the back post.
