Elijah Mitchell of the San Francisco 49ers will miss the preseason due to a hamstring issue.

He might miss all three preseason games for the team.

After the Niners' 28-21 victory against the Packers on Friday, coach Kyle Shanahan stated Mitchell has a hamstring issue and will not play against the Minnesota Vikings next week.

Mitchell had resumed his job as San Francisco's starting running back through the first two weeks of camp.

Due to Mitchell's injury, the 49ers will rely on Trey Sermon, Tyrion Davis-Price, and JaMycal Hasty to handle the exhibition carries.
