As the Buffalo Bills maintained their impressive start to the season with a convincing 41-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans

cornerback Dane Jackson was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be a frightening injury caused by a teammate.

On Monday night, late in the Bills' home game, Jackson suffered a neck injury.

When Jackson tackled Treylon Burks of the Titans, the 25-year-teammate old's Tremaine Edmunds charged in head first and missed his intended victim.

Jackson was lying on the ground with his head up. Jackson's head was violently pulled back as the helmet of the 6ft 5in, 250-pound linebacker collided with his.

Jackson was put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital by medical personnel while being surrounded by worried teammates.

Edmunds managed to carry on. Television cameras captured some supporters praying in the stands during the Bills' home opener as the incident quieted the rowdy throng.

Jackson was transferred to the Erie County Medical Center for a CT scan and X-ray, and the staff reported that he had "complete mobility in extremities,"

At that point, Buffalo was ahead 17-7. The volume increased once more in the second half as wide receiver Stefon Diggs increased the Bills' lead by scoring the game's second touchdown

collecting a throw from quarterback Josh Allen that was completed 46 yards out.
