Brigitte Nielsen married Mattia Dessi in 2006, marking her fifth marriage after meeting on VH1's Strange Love.

The couple's relationship began in Switzerland in 2004, documented on the reality show and culminating in a ceremony in Malta.

Mattia Dessi, an Italian from Sardinia, was a model before moving to Los Angeles with Nielsen and their daughter, Frida.

Dessi appeared on Strange Love, showcasing the evolution of his relationship with Nielsen after her split from Flavor Flav.

Nielsen and Dessi had two wedding ceremonies in the Dominican Republic and Malta, legally tying the knot in 2006.

Dessi is Nielsen's fifth husband, following marriages to Kasper Winding, Sylvester Stallone, Mark Gastineau, and Raoul Meyer.

Despite a 15-year age gap, Nielsen and Dessi, now married for years, dismiss initial public scrutiny and remain a strong team.

The couple welcomed their first child together, Frida Dessi, in June 2018, celebrating the joy after a decade of IVF treatments.
