Barbara was well-known for her skill at conducting interviews and for winning over audiences.

Many television shows featured Walters as the host, including Today, the ABC Evening News, 20/20, and The View.

Walters worked as a journalist from 1951 until her retirement in 2015.

Walters launched her career as a segment producer and writer for women's interest topics on The Today Show in the early 1960s.

Walters tied knot four times to three different men.

Walters was born on September 25, 1929, in Boston.

Walters received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007 after being inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1989.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences gave Walters a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.
