ASU's upset bid against No. 5 Washington falls just short in a 15-7 loss at Husky Stadium. 

A pivotal fourth-quarter interception by Mishael Powell turned the tide in favor of Washington, giving them a 12-7 lead over ASU. 

Despite a strong defensive performance, ASU couldn't secure the win, dropping their record to 1-6. 

ASU's defense held Washington without an offensive touchdown, and they managed four takeaways in the game. 

ASU outgained Washington, accumulating 341 total yards to Washington's 288, with a significant advantage in rushing yards and time of possession. 

Michael Penix Jr. delivered a solid performance for Washington, while Trenton Bourguet led ASU with 196 passing yards, but the crucial interception proved costly for the Sun Devils.
