According to a report by The Athletic, Terry, aged 73, transferred a portion of the Bills’ ownership to Laura last year, just days after assuming guardianship of Kim due to her heart attack in 2022. Formerly, Terry and Kim jointly owned the Bills with a 50-50 split, and they also possess ownership of the Buffalo Sabres hockey team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sources close to the Pegula family informed The Athletic that Kim is unlikely to resume her involvement in the management of either franchise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura Pegula, aged 41 and Terry’s daughter from a previous marriage, has increasingly represented the family in various capacities over the past year. She notably represented the Bills during NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s annual address at the owners’ meetings in Orlando. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Laura has participated in Q&A sessions with employees of both the Bills and Sabres, and she was present when the Sabres introduced Lindy Ruff as their new head coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there appears to be some confusion among team employees, including executives, regarding Kim’s prognosis and Laura’s precise role within the organization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, professional tennis player Jessica Pegula<\/a>, Terry and Kim’s daughter, has provided insight into her mother’s health condition in an essay for The Players’ Tribune. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessica revealed that Kim suffers from expressive aphasia and memory issues, making communication challenging but emphasizing her mother’s determination and remarkable recovery progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the wake of Jessica’s essay, reports emerged that her husband, Taylor Gahagen, was dismissed from his role as director of corporate development by Terry Pegula. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
