In fact, he’s experiencing one of the best stretches of his career, and some believe there might be a unique reason behind his recent success \u2013 the “Taylor Swift effect.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent game against the Los Angeles Chargers,<\/em> Kelce put on a show, catching 12 passes for 179 yards and scoring a crucial touchdown. Chiefs coach Andy Reid jokingly attributed Kelce’s exceptional performance to his age, suggesting that he’s getting better with time. But he also couldn’t help but mention the presence of pop superstar Taylor Swift, who has attended four Chiefs games this season. Interestingly, Kelce’s statistics suggest that he performs significantly better when Swift is in attendance, averaging more than twice as many yards with her at the stadium compared to games without her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Mahomes couldn’t resist a playful jab at Kelce, suggesting that a younger Kelce might have turned a shorter pass into a touchdown, he acknowledged Kelce’s consistent ability to find ways to get open and produce outstanding performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kelce’s season didn’t begin in the first game of the year against the Detroit Lions, but since his return, he’s made history. He has accumulated 48 catches in the six games that followed, tying the record for the most receptions by a tight end in their first six games in NFL history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
