The New York Giants will start backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor against the Buffalo Bills due to regular starter Daniel Jones' neck injury.
Tyrod Taylor, a 34-year-old NFL veteran, has played for multiple teams, including the Bills and the Giants.
Taylor's 2023 season includes four appearances, completing 11 of 15 passes for 92 yards.
Daniel Jones, the Giants' 26-year-old starter, was drafted in the first round in 2019 but has struggled in the 2023 season with a 1-4 record.
Jones has completed 104 of 151 pass attempts this season, with a 68.9% completion rate, two touchdowns, and six interceptions.
The Bills, with a 3-2 record, face a Giants team with former Buffalo figures like coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen, as well as former Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
