The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule on the NFL’s Sunday Ticket antitrust case involving DirecTV, which was found in violation of antitrust laws.

A jury determined the NFL should pay $4.7 billion in damages, potentially tripling to $14.3 billion.

Eligible fans could receive payouts between $1,900 and $5,000 if the verdict is upheld.

Judge Philip Gutierrez will decide on the jury’s verdict on July 31, with the power to uphold, modify, or dismiss it.

The NFL plans to appeal if the verdict is upheld, potentially taking the case to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court, with its conservative majority, is expected to rule in favor of the NFL, overturning the jury's decision.

A ruling in favor of the NFL would mean fans would not receive the expected payouts.

The case raises concerns about the Supreme Court’s political bias and its impact on legal outcomes.
