The Rams and Cam Akers are parting ways through a trade deal.

Akers is being traded from Los Angeles to Minnesota, as reported by NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero.

In exchange for Akers, the Vikings will send a conditional 2026 sixth-round pick to the Rams.

Additionally, the Rams will receive a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick in the trade.

Cam Akers' time in Los Angeles has been marked by ups and downs.

Akers, a former second-round pick, had a strong rookie season in 2020, averaging 4.3 yards per carry.

He faced a setback in 2021 when he suffered an Achilles injury during offseason activities, limiting his appearances.

Despite winning a Super Bowl with the Rams, Akers expressed dissatisfaction with his role in the team's offense in 2022.

Akers was briefly traded, then welcomed back, but a rift developed, leading to his absence from the team.

Now, Cam Akers looks forward to a new opportunity with the Minnesota Vikings, hoping for a more significant role in their offense led by Kevin O'Connell.
