Orthopedic sports surgeon Dr. David Abbasi expresses concerns about Nick Chubb's career following his season-ending injury.

Dr. Abbasi is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with expertise in joint injuries, especially knees, elbows, and shoulders.

Dr. Abbasi, who also creates YouTube content explaining professional athletes' injuries, analyzed footage of Chubb's injury, noting the visible dislocation of his knee.

The surgeon believes that Chubb likely tore multiple ligaments, suggesting the need for reconstruction.

Chubb's injury occurred during a Week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers when safety Minkah Fitzpatrick undercut him, causing his knee to bend unnaturally.

After the injury, Chubb was carted off the field, and Browns coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed he would miss the entire season.

Prior to his injury, Chubb ranked fourth in total rushing yards for the season, behind Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, and D'Andre Swift.

Chubb had previously supported fellow NFL running backs in their pursuit of guaranteed contracts, highlighting the physical toll the position takes.

He signed a three-year, $36.6 million contract in 2021 with a substantial signing bonus and guaranteed money.

Chubb's injury is a significant setback, raising concerns about the future of his promising career in the NFL.
