Jimmy Garoppolo, the  Raiders' QB, entered concussion protocol after their recent loss to the Steelers, raising doubts about his availability for the Week 4 clash against the Chargers.

Recent reports suggest that there is some positive development in Garoppolo's condition, as he returned to practice on Thursday, indicating progress towards a potential Sunday appearance.

In the game against the Steelers, Garoppolo completed 28-of-44 passes for 324 yards, contributing two touchdowns along with three interceptions during the 23-18 defeat.

The Raiders acquired Garoppolo in the offseason with a three-year, $72.5 million contract, replacing their longtime quarterback, Derek Carr.

Garoppolo's early-season stats are less than stellar with 709 yards, 5 TDs, and a league-high 6 interceptions, with a 68.1% completion rate and an 81.4 passer rating.

Despite speculation of rookie Aidan O'Connell taking over the quarterback role, the Raiders are unlikely to replace Garoppolo quickly due to their substantial investment.
